Hi ha força serveis (gratuïts, de pagament i “premium”) d’eines de bookmarking i social bookmarking.
En canvi, en hi ha molt poques de codi obert, descarregables i instal.lables. Després de buscar i revisar una llista de més de deu eines, es veu que va haver un moment interessant fa uns anys, molt probablement quan del.ici.ous estava a ‘la cresta de la ola’ (Arraku, Bookmark4U, CommunityNews, ContARTE, Laicos, Taggly, gnizr, sabros.us, gnolia). En canvi, ara, només tres segueixen mes o menys en actiu:
